The history of community school program in the country can be traced back about 22 years ago. The initial bunch of teachers was identified from amongst believers who had already started their own Baha’i-inspired schools, some of which were under Local Spiritual Assemblies. But also other participants were those who had an interest to teach who were supposed to get trained and establish a school. All these seminar trainings were centralized at the national level. But currently the trainings are carried out in western where a good number of schools is.
At the level of the country there are a total of 36 schools comprising of 1436 children of whom 719 are girls and 717 are boys. The number of teachers stands on 77 whereby 35 are Men and 42 are Women and schools are found in 17 clusters. Currently the program is centralize in in western as it was mentioned earlier that its where a good number of schools is.

Holistic Child Development
The Community Schools program operates under the wings of Ruaha Mwongozo Foundation (RMF). A nucleus team at the national level reflects on the development of the program across the country. When the team meets, they read holy writings and related materials, review annual and cycle plans, and reflect on achievements.
The program also works with a national coordinator who oversees development and collaborates with regional teams in areas with more schools. These regional teams meet once every two months, focusing on mobilizing teachers for reflection, reading the reality of Tanzania's educational system, disseminating awareness among parents, analyzing statistics, and providing feedback to strengthen the program.
"Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom."
"The primary, the most urgent requirement is the promotion of education. It is inconceivable that any nation should achieve prosperity without this fundamental concern."
"Every child must from his earliest years make a thorough study of the art of reading and writing, and devote diligence to the acquisition of learning beneficial arts and skills."
"Among the greatest of all services that can possibly be rendered by man to Almighty God is the education and training of children."
